About Dr. Natarajan
Dr. Sabareesh Natarajan is the founder and CEO of The Brain, Spine & Vascular Neuroscience Institute (BSV Neuroscience).
Dr. Natarajan is a neurosurgeon with double board certifications in open vascular/endovascular surgery and skull base surgery. Dr. Natarajan’s expertise includes vascular issues impacting the brain and spine, brain aneurysms, vascular malformations, and ischemic or hemorrhagic strokes (e.g., carotid stenosis, Moyamoya). He performs bypass surgeries for the brain and microvascular decompression to relieve facial pain syndromes. His work also addresses venous disorders of the brain and spine.
In addition, Dr. Natarajan cares for patients with tumors of the brain, skull base, and spine, including intraaxial brain tumors like glioblastomas (GBMs) and brain metastases, as well as skull base tumors like meningiomas, acoustic neuromas, and pituitary tumors. Other tumor types he treats include chordomas, chondrosarcomas, Chiari malformations, pineal tumors, intraventricular tumors, and craniopharyngiomas.
Dr. Natarajan has been recognized as one of the leading neurological surgeons in Massachusetts and is known worldwide as an authority on stroke, brain aneurysms, and tumors. Having authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and more than 30 textbook chapters, his work is widely cited in the field of neurological disease management. He has been invited to numerous national and international conferences to present his research and insights to fellow experts.
Previously, Dr. Natarajan directed the Open Vascular and Endovascular Neurosurgery Program and the Brain Tumor, Skull Base & Cranial Microsurgery Program at the University of Massachusetts (Boston, MA).
